HabsWorld.net --

The Habs trimmed their training camp roster by five players on Monday.
Etienne Brodeur, Darren Dietz, and Robin Gusse were sent back to junior while
Dustin Walsh heads back to his NCAA team.  Additionally, defenceman Jordon
Southern was released.  There are now 59 players left in camp.

The infirmary continues to grow as Ben Winnett was injured in today’s
scrimmage, which Team C won 4-2.  He joins Andrei Markov, Lars Eller, Ryan
White, Andrew Conboy, Brendon Nash, Michael Bournival, Josh McFadden, Olivier
Fortier, Joonas Nattinen, and Scott Gomez as the players that are banged up.
Gomez, however, skated today for the first time since camp started.

In Monday’s scrimmage, Gabriel Dumont had a hat trick for Team C while Nathan
Beaulieu added their other tally.  For Team B, Winnett and Max Pacioretty
had the goals.  For those keeping track, Team C won both games and thus won
the mini-tournament.

The Habs kick off their preseason tomorrow night against Dallas.  In
terms of lineup notes, Carey Price will start and play the first half of the
game while Beaulieu and Pacioretty will not play.
