HabsWorld.net --

The Habs decided to get a jump on trade
deadline day on Tuesday night, making their 4th trade of the season.  The
club acquired prospect winger Aaron Palushaj from St. Louis in exchange for
struggling winger Matt D’Agostini.  Palushaj was a 2nd round pick of the
Blues in 2007, 44th overall.  For the record, the player selected right
before him: P.K. Subban.

D’Agostini had 2 goals and 2 assists with the Habs in 40 games this season but
bounced between lines and in and out of the lineup, including a brief stint in
Hamilton.  He makes $500,000 this year and is an RFA at the end of the
season.

Palushaj, a 5’11, 183 lb right winger has spent all of this season with St.
Louis’ farm affiliate in Peoria.  In 44 contests, he has 5 goals and 17
assists with 22 PIMS and an even rating.  He’s on the first year of his
entry-level deal with a cap hit of $883,333.  He is a former teammate of
Max Pacioretty at the University of Michigan. He also represented the United States at the 2009 World Juniors.
