HW 3 Stars of the Night:

1) Mike Cammalleri: I think it’s pretty safe to say that he enjoys playing
against the Rangers.  4 points tonight (9 in 3 games vs New York in total)
and was dominant virtually every time he was on the ice.  Not only was he a
sniper tonight, but also a strong playmaker setting up a pair on the powerplay.

Statline: 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 shots, +2 rating, 18:15 TOI

2) Jaroslav Halak: It’s not very often that a goalie gets the shutout and isn’t
named first star, but it’s understandable here due to Cammalleri’s strong
performance.  That being said, he did have a solid game despite not being
tested for long stretches of time.  The goalie controversy continues.

Statline: 32 saves on 32 shots

3) Scott Gomez: He winds up with the game winning goal which also turned out to
be his only point of the night, but that was certainly no fault of his own. 
Like Cammalleri, he was dominant for most of the game despite having a rotation
of right wingers for most of the night.

Statline: 1 goal (GWG), 3 shots, +1 rating, 11/18 (61%) faceoffs, 16:20
TOI

Honourable mention: Jaroslav Spacek: It was great to see him actually generating
offensive opportunities while playing well for the most part in his own end
(only 2 turnovers).  If it wasn’t for the fact that I didn’t want to
exactly duplicate the game’s official 3 stars, you wouldn’t be reading this in
the HM section.
