Although the playoffs were over in early May
for the Habs and non-existent for the Bulldogs, there was still lots of
important action for several members of the Canadiens organization.  We’ll
look at the stats for the Worlds, the Memorial Cup, and the ECHL’s Kelly Cup,
where the Cincinnati Cyclones lead 2-1 in the league finals, in the final
2007-08 installment of the Recap.

Memorial
Cup (CHL)

On May 25th, the host Kitchener Rangers fell
short in their quest to win the CHL’s top prize, the Memorial Cup. 
Instead, the WHL’s Spokane Chiefs (and their Montreal look-alike red uniforms)
won and then almost broke the cup.  Belleville (OHL) and Gatineau (QMJHL)
finished 3rd and 4th respectively.  A pair of Montreal prospects were in
the tournament, their stats are shown below:

World
Championships (IIHF)

A couple of weeks ago, the 2008 IIHF World
Championships ended, with a pair of Habs (albeit one a prospect) taking home the
gold medal, as Russia defeated Canada in overtime.  Saku Koivu’s Finland
team took home the bronze.  Here are the stats for each Montreal player in

Kelly Cup
(ECHL)

Although the Hamilton Bulldogs missed the AHL
playoffs, several players who spent time on the roster this past season were
eligible to return to the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones in their quest for the ECHL
championship.  So far, so good for them, as they currently lead the Las
Vegas Wranglers 2-1 in the league finals.  Their stats are as follows:
