The Hamilton Bulldogs are about to get some help, in the form of locked-out NHL’er Steve Begin. Begin will join the Bulldogs next week, and remain with the team for the remainder of the season. Begin has not played a single game in any league this season due to injury.

The addition of Begin should help Hamilton’s playoff chances, right now they are on the outside looking in. Begin last played in the AHL in 2000-2001 when he was apart of the Calgary Flames organization. The addition of Begin comes after the Canadiens refused to allow Mike Ribeiro and Pierre Dagenais to join the Hamilton club.
