HabsWorld.net --

According to RDS, RW Jason Ward is very doubtful for Game 6 of the Eastern Quarterfinals against the Boston Bruins.  Ward was checked into the boards by Boston defenseman Dan McGillis and went down with a neck injury and did not return to the game.

It is hoped that Steve Begin will be available to replace Ward after missing games 4 and 5 with an injury to his left leg.  Begin is listed as questionable, but hopes to return to the lineup for the all-important 6th game.

Defenseman Stephane Quintal is likely out for the rest of the series, and possibly the remainder of the playoffs.  Quintal injured his shoulder after being hooked on a 2-1 in Game 4.  The hook caused him to lose his balance, and he hit the boards hard and was unable to return.  As in Game 5, Mike Komisarek will replace him in the lineup.

Also, after a rigorous Game 5, head coach Claude Julien decided to give the team an off day on Friday.  The team will need all its energy for Game 6, a must win for the Canadiens.  A win in Game 6 would allow the Canadiens a chance to win a series for the first time in team history after trailing 3-1.
