HabsWorld.net --

Montreal (34-26-6-2) at Phoenix (20-26-15-5)

Kovalev expected debut in Habs uniform! He did not play in Montreal’s 4-3 loss
against San Jose Wednesday night and he’s expected to join Saku Koivu and Richard
Zednik on the top line. One area where Kovalev doesn’t figure to help is PK,
and that’s where the Habs lost in San Jose.

"At this stage of the season, we have to be better than that," Montreal
coach Claude Julien said. "Some of the penalties we took weren’t very good,
but your special teams have to come up big at times. We need some better effort,
more pride in doing the job properly."

I don’t know if Jim Dowd will make his debut tonight due to an injury (he haven’t
play his last 10 games with the Wild) but he’s the kind of player that will
improve the PK unit and perhaps to replace Joe Juneau on the defensive line.

The Coyotes is 13th in the Western Conference and they’ve dropped recently
Bob Francis for Rick Bowness and he’s looking forward to his first victory as
a head coach since 1998.

Phoenix has just won two of its last 18 games (2-11-2-3).
