Shayne Corson is ready to make a return to the NHL , and the Canadiens are reportedly one of the teams interested in bringing him back. Corson retired from the NHL last season after having complications with Toronto. The 37 year old Corson has 683 points in 1139 career games.


 


Corson was drafted 8th overall in the 1984 NHL entry draft by the Canadiens , and spent 7 seasons with the team before being traded to Edmonton. Corson would later be re-acquired by the Canadiens during the 1996-1997 season , and spent another 4 seasons with the club before leaving as a UFA to Toronto in the summer of 2000.


 


Corson has battled many health issues throughout his career , including panic-attacks. Along with Montreal the other teams believed to be interested in Corson are Ottawa , Dallas , and Florida , according to Sportsnet television,  while TSN’s Bob McKenzie has said that the Senators are not interested.
