HabsWorld.net --

Marcel Hossa was demoted and his replacement, Dagenais, will most likely start off on the second line with Yanic Perreault and Mike Ribeiro. Niklas Sundstrom had been previously on this line with the injury to RW Donald Audette. Dagenais will give the Habs some size on the wings, he is 6’5″ and 215 pounds. He and Ribeiro combined for 258 points in 127 games during the 1997-98 season with the Rouyn-Norranda Huskies.

Meanwhile Ron Hainsey was demoted to Hamilton and Mike Komisarek was promoted to the big club. Speculation is that Gainey is trying to move a defensemen in the coming weeks, and this could create a regular spot in the lineup for the 7th overall draft pick of the 2001 draft. In any event, Komisarek will give the Habs some much needed size in front of the net, something that has sorely lacked in the last couple of games with Quintal not playing up to par since returning from an irregular heartbeat.

Marcel Hossa had struggled this season recording just 1 goal and 1 assist in 15 games so far this season while Dagenais has performed well with 21 points in 20 games playing for the Bulldogs. Hainsey had registered 2 points in 11 games with the tricolore and Komisarek has tallied 9 points with Bulldogs in 18 games.
